Structural Waterproofing for new construction
Structural Waterproofing for new construction
Since many durability problems are caused due to poor quality control or serious problems during concrete construction, the issue of construction quality and variability must also be firmly grasped before any rational approach to a more controlled durability can be achieved. Therefore, a performance-based concrete quality control during concrete construction with documentation of achieved construction quality and compliance with the specified durability should also be carried out.

Engineering
Co-mender’s engineering experts collaborate with designers and building firms at all stages of design and construction. We guarantee the effectiveness of the waterproof structure.
- Design the post-tension system for vertical walls to reduce or eliminate cracking
- Advice on the design of underground structures.
- Revision and Approval of waterproof mix design
- Checks on steel reinforcement shrinkage requirements.
- Checks on concrete, both on-site during construction and testing in the laboratory.
- Checks on the laying of steel reinforcement and concrete casting.
- Check on the joints sealing system and cracks inducers if needed
- Construction management including High quality dossiers with records, photographs and plans for laying all Co-mender’s technologies systems.
Co-mender’s Water stop
- The special Waterstop have pre-drilled channels – easily accessible from inside the structure – to allow maintenance injections against any infiltration. Injectable Waterstop tapes for diaphragm joints.
- Waterproof diaphragms without further additional structures.
- Maintenance injections are simple and safe, with easy access from a special junction box.
Co-mender’s waterproof concrete
Co-mender’s engineering adapts the mix design to suit the characteristics of the structure chosen by the customer with or without special additives. Co-mender’s engineering team carries out checks on construction both on site and in the laboratory using Co-menderAIR technology to ensure the waterproofing qualities defined in the mix design are transferred to the structure.

Our Maintenance, the guarantee for waterproofing
The need for maintenance of any waterproofing system is fundamental as well as under-rated. Theoretically all systems work. In the real world, unexpected things occur which can however be easily foreseeable: from the human factor during laying to common hitches during construction.
The Drytech Tank always allows waterproofing to be re-established by injecting DRYflex expanding resin from the underside of the structure. Since the Drytech Tank is a single structure, the cause and effect of any infiltrations can be verified in the same place, enabling accurate work to be carried out and results can be checked immediately by visual inspection. There is no requirement to block the structure. For the same reason, Drytech maintenance systems are also used in the restoration of other types of waterproofing.
